Interface tour
The sidebar, the new-task page, the task page and its right panel, and the dialogs you will use most.
Sidebar
Top to bottom:
- Team card: the team you are in. Open it to switch teams or "Manage team".
- Actions: New task, Image Generation, Hosts, Agent, Team & Subscription, Skill Market, Search.
- Three task sections: "Pinned tasks", "Projects", "Tasks". Click a section title to collapse it. Pinned and Projects end with a "Load more" button; Tasks loads more as you scroll. Drag items in any of the three sections to reorder them; the order is shared with the whole team. New tasks appear at the top and then stay where you put them; sending a message does not move them.
- Filter: in a shared team the task sections have a filter, "Whole team" or "Only mine". Personal spaces do not show it.
- Bottom: the invite card and your avatar. In the browser, a "Download desktop app" card sits above the invite card until you register a device. The avatar opens the user menu: Upgrade plan, Settings, Tickets, Download desktop app (browser only), Theme, Language, Sign out.
⌘B (Ctrl+B on Windows) toggles the sidebar.
New-task page
"New task" opens it. The greeting, a one-line intro and three starting points sit at the top; the composer is at the bottom, with the host and project or folder selectors above it. Click a card to open its page and "All starting points" to go back. Anything you have typed stays put:
- Research: research examples. Open one to see what was delivered; "Use this example" puts its task description into the composer.
- Guides: how source search, our own models and image generation work.
- Handoff: continue an existing project. Pick a local folder (needs the desktop app; the host switches to this computer), open the Agent dialog to add an SSH server, or put a clone-this-repo task description into the composer.
"New task" inside a project skips the starting points: just the greeting, the project it belongs to and the composer.
Task page
- Header: tasks you open become tabs. Drag to reorder, right-click to close. The button at the right edge toggles the right panel.
- Middle: the conversation and timeline. With a mouse or trackpad, the short lines along the left edge are an outline: each line is one exchange. Move the pointer along them to preview that exchange's question and the start of its reply, then click the card to jump there. The outline lists only the messages loaded so far, and grows as you scroll up to load earlier ones. When you open a file, the preview card appears between the conversation and the right panel.
- Right panel, four tabs:
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Overview | Progress through the task plan, the files this task has delivered, and the subagents this task has dispatched |
| Files | The working directory tree. Click a file to preview it, see Files and previews |
| Git | Laid out like Source Control in VS Code: the current branch with commits to push and pull, changes in the working directory (as a list or tree), and the commit graph (click a commit to see its files). Read-only; ask the agent to commit, push and so on |
| Host | The machine running the task: terminals, the desktop view entry, CPU / memory / disk usage, and the SSH servers configured on this host |
A task opens on Overview. Drag the panel edge to resize it.
Projects
A project gets its own working directory on the chosen host, where all its tasks run. A later task can use what an earlier one produced.
- Create: "New project" in the Projects section. Give it a name, a host and a working directory.
- Convert: a standalone task's sidebar menu offers "Convert to project". The task becomes a project you can keep adding tasks to. This cannot be undone.
- Start a task inside a project: the pencil button on the project row. Tasks in a project inherit its host and directory.
Search
"Search" in the sidebar finds tasks and projects by title across the team. With nothing typed it is a browser: pinned, projects and tasks, in three groups. The left column narrows it to pinned tasks, projects or tasks.
Dialogs you will use
Settings (user menu → Settings), four sections:
| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| General | Theme, language, system notifications, completion sound |
| Profile | Avatar, nickname, email, sign out all devices, delete account |
| Invite | Invite codes and statistics |
| Tickets | Open and read tickets, answered within one business day. A red dot on your avatar means a new reply |
Team & Subscription (sidebar "Team & Subscription", or "Manage team" on the team card):
| Group | Sections |
|---|---|
| Team | General, Members |
| Resources | Hidden, where hidden tasks and projects can be restored |
| Billing | Subscription, Usage, Orders |
Agent (sidebar "Agent"): Instructions under Identity (the selected host's global AGENTS.md); Skills and SSH Servers (the selected host's ~/.ssh/config, which the agent also reads and edits) under Capabilities. A project's own instructions and memory live in "Project settings" on the project's sidebar menu.
Skill Market (sidebar "Skill Market"): browse official skills by domain and work stage. An installed skill applies to tasks on every team host. The agent picks skills up from their descriptions, or you can call one by typing / in the composer.
Hosts (sidebar "Hosts"): the sidebar switches to the team's cloud hosts and local devices, with entries such as "Create cloud host" and "Connect this computer"; "Back" returns to your tasks. Pick a host and the first column shows its Overview, Storage (cloud), Environment, Desktop (cloud), Terminal and Settings on top and its projects below; open a project to browse its working directory column by column, with the selected file previewed on the right. A sleeping cloud host is not woken by browsing the project list, only by opening a project, Storage, Environment or Desktop.
